Dear friends,

I’m delighted to announce that — after blowing her deadline by 9 days!* — Violet Marian arrived this past Sunday, August 18, at 2:34 AM. As you can see, she is 7.5 pounds of wonderful and Dan (her rockstar dad) and I are completely smitten. (Also sleepy.)

We’ll all be hanging out on baby leave for the next several weeks, so you can expect this blog to stay on hiatus until roughly mid-November.

Work colleagues: Feel free to touch base in the meantime to discuss upcoming projects or to wrap up details on any assignments currently shipping — just bear with me if you experience delayed response times due to the whims of a newborn’s “schedule.”
